Miami will get a chance to avenge last season’s loss to Georgia Tech when the Yellow Jackets travel to Hard Rock Stadium for the second season in a row.
The Hurricanes broke down in a loss to Georgia Tech in 2020. Offense, defense and special teams all had mistakes that led to the Yellow Jackets upset.
Former Temple coach Geoff Collins who was originally slated to be replaced by Diaz is in the middle of a huge rebuilding job replacing Paul Johnson and the Yellow Jackets former triple-option offense.
Georgia Tech was picked last in the ACC by a wide margin and did not have any players named preseason All-ACC.

At Wake Forest November 28
Wake Forest will present one of the best offenses Miami will play in 2020. The Demon Deacons had the third-best offense in the ACC in 2019 behind only Clemson and North Carolina. Wake Forest lost QB Jamie Newman who transferred to Georgia and then choose to opt-out and WR Chaz Surratt who opted out.
Defensive end Carlos Basham Jr. was named first-team All-ACC. Three of the best edge rushers in the ACC in Basham, Phillips and Roche will be playing with the Hurricanes and Demon Deacons competing. The Miami offensive line needs to limit the production of Basham to win another ACC game on the road.
