Three Miami football players received weekly position honors from the ACC following the Hurricanes 47-34 victory at Louisville Saturday night.

Kicker Jose Borregales, quarterback D’Eriq King and safety Bubba Bolden received honors as the best players at their positions following the 47-34 victory by the Miami football team at Louisville Saturday night. Borreagales was named ACC specialist of the week, King the QB of the week and Bolden defensive back of the week.

Borregales had a memorable night for Miami with four field goals and five extra points for 17 points. Borreagales tied a program record with a 57-yard field goal and also made field goals of 48, 40 and 22 yards in addition to the five extra points. King was 18-30 for 325 yards and three touchdowns for Miami.

Bolden was a force on the Hurricanes defense with 11 tackles, one tackle for loss and a forced fumble. Borregales and King have made big differences in positions that struggled greatly for the Miami football team in 2019. Through two games, Borregales had made all nine of his PATs and all five of his field-goal attempts.

King has completed 62.3 percent of his passes for 466 yards and four TDs and run 20 times for 92 yards and another score through the first two Miami football games of 2020. Bolden leads Miami with 13 tackles this season and has added the one TFL and one forced fumble. All three have transfered to Miami in the past two offseasons.

Bolden joined the Miami football team from USC in January 2019. Borregales and King transfered to Miami from FIU and Houston during the 2020 offseason. All three have made an impact for the Hurricanes this season. Bolden played in five games in 2019 before suffering a season ending injury against Florida State.
