The ESPN College Gameday analysts picked the Miami football team to defeat Florida State on Saturday night.

With the iconic ESPN College Gameday live from Hard Rock Stadium their analysts picked the Miami football team to defeat Florida State Saturday night. Saturday morning was the second straight appearance for Miami on ESPN College Gameday. Last week College Gameday was live from Louisville for Miami’s win.

After winning a majority decision from the ESPN College Gameday analysts at Louisville last Saturday, the Miami football team was a unanimous choice ahead of their game against Florida State. The Hurricanes enter the game against the Seminoles as a double-digit favorite at Hard Rock Stadium.

With Covid-19 restrictions in place, ESPN College Gameday televised live from outside Hard Rock Stadium on Saturday morning. Miami is trying to defeat Florida State for the fourth straight season. The Hurricanes began their streak in 2017 by ending a seven-game Florida State winning streak.

Saturday night is the third time in the last four meetings an unranked Florida State will play a ranked Miami team. Both teams were unranked when Miami won 27-10 in Tallahassee in 2019. The 2020 meeting is also the fourth in a row with a different head coaching matchup. The analysts had different reasons for picking Miami.

Former Georgia linebacker who played for Mark Richt with the Bulldogs and college football Hall of Fame inductee David Pollack said of Florida State “I don’t expect them to stop (Miami quarterback) D’Eriq King.” Pollack picked Miami against Louisville. After 325 yards passing and three touchdowns, King impressed Pollack.

Desmond Howard, the 1991 Heisman Trophy and a Miami resident chose the Hurricanes but did not go into as much depth as Pollack with his choice. Howard also chose Miami last week when they crushed Louisville 47-34. The pick that college football fans look forward to every week is Miami native Lee Corso.

The Miami Jackson High School alums picked the Hurricanes. Last week Corso picked Miami against Louisville where he began his coaching career. This weekend, Corso picked the Hurricanes over his alma mater Florida State. The ESPN icon said, “Sorry Noles I’m going with the favorite, Miami.”

The celebrity picker on Saturday was Stugotz, aka Jon Weiner from the Dan LeBatard Show. Stugotz and LeBetard who is a Miami alum, are based in Miami. LeBatard’s sidekick stated “I’m going go Canes here. I am in the city of Miami. they roll tonight against a very bad Florida State team.”

Kirk Herbstreit is calling the Miami game for the second week in a row on ABC Primetime College Football Saturday game of the week. Herbstreit does not make projections on games he will be the analyst for. This was the first time ESPN was in Miami for College Gameday and the Primetime game since defeating ND in 2017.
