3) The Clemson offensive line has four new starters and has been inconsistent thus far in 2020. How confident are you that Clemson can slow the pass rush for the Miami football team?

This is the one area that I am really worried about. The Clemson OL has not been very good to start the year. They had a lot of trouble against Citadel in establishing the line of scrimmage and pushing guys around.

So far (the) Clemson offensive coordinator (Elliott) has done a good job of game-planning with them in mind and you don’t see Trevor Lawrence holding onto the football long.

If Miami is going to end Clemson’s 36 game regular-season winning streak, the defensive line is going to have to take advantage of the one advantage that Miami has heading into Saturday.

4) Trevor Lawrence praised the Miami defense for their speed and athleticism but said they do not use as many looks as Virginia did. How does that affect what Clemson will do on offense?

Clemson doesn’t let defenses dictate what they do, they have been successful because they stay true to themselves and force teams to adjust to them. The Clemson coaching staff is very good about identifying an area of weakness from that week’s opponent and exploiting that.

Clemson will attempt to use Miami’s speed against them Saturday and will patiently wait for them to make a mistake.
