In a nearly nine-minute video with Kirk Herbstreit preceding ESPN Gameday Lee Corso said that the Miami football team has the talent to match Clemson but has to do so for 60 minutes.

The Miami football team will play its biggest game in three years Saturday night at Clemson. ESPN College Gameday and the ABC Primetime Game of the Week will be at Clemson. Ahead of Gameday on Saturday morning, ABC and ESPN analyst Kirk Herbstreit spoke to co-host Lee Corso for nearly nine minutes on Twitter.

Towards the end of the video, Herbstreit and Corso discussed the Clemson-Miami football game. Asked about his thoughts on the Hurricanes and Tigers, Corso said Miami has the talent to compete with Clemson. The bigger question for Corso was whether or not Miami can compete with Clemson for all 60 minutes.

Miami has added an infusion of talent to its 2020 roster through the transfer portal and in its signing class. Graduate transfer quarterback D’Eriq King, defensive end Quincy Roche, right tackle Jarrid Williams and kicker Jose Borregales have all had impacts on Miami this season. Freshmen have also contributed.

Running backs Don Chaney Jr. and Jaylan Knighton have shown toughness and explosiveness in the new up-tempo spread run by offensive coordinator Rhett Lashlee in his first season with Miami. Redshirt juniors, defensive end Jaelan Phillips and safety Bubba Bolden have made impacts as transfers as well.

The biggest question for the Miami players is will the moment be too big. Most of the Miami players and particularly the freshmen have not played in a game of this magnitude in their careers. Miami should be helped by Memorial Stadium having limited capacity. Getting off to a good start will be critical for Miami.

At the end of Gameday, Corso dons the headgear of the mascot of the team he will pick. That is about an hour away at the time this is being written. The expectation will be Corso and the entire panel choose Clemson. Miami being competitive on Saturday night will bring more confidence for the Hurricanes nationally from the pundits.
