The Miami football team will return to primetime on October 24 against Virginia at 8 PM ET on the ACC Network.

After a noon kickoff of the ACC Network on Saturday against Pittsburgh, the Miami football team will return to primetime with an 8 PM kickoff against Virginia also on the ACC Network October 24. The ACC network has been polarizing with more than 80 percent of South Florida homes not having ACCN.

The games against Pittsburgh and Virginia will be the Hurricanes second and third on the ACC Network this season. The primary issue is that Comcast and ESPN who owns the ACC Network have not been able to reach an agreement on the rights for ACCN. Miami will play North Carolina State November 6 on ESPN.

The Hurricanes and Wolfpack are playing on a Friday night. Non-Saturday games are pre-determined with gametime and network. The final three games of the 2020 season for Miami against Georgia Tech, at Virginia Tech and against North Carolina are all on Saturdays and kickoff and network will be determined.

Miami defeated Virginia 17-9 last season at Hard Rock Stadium. The Hurricanes and Cavaliers will play at Hard Rock Stadium for the second straight season. Miami has won their last four home games against Virginia. The Hurricanes have not lost to Virginia at home since 2011. The Cavaliers won the ACC Coastal Division in 2019.

The ACC put the Coastal and Atlantic Divisions on hiatus in 2020. ACC teams are playing 10 conference games and one non-conference game each. Miami won its season opener in their only non-conference game against UAB. The Hurricanes enter the game against Pittsburgh 3-1 overall and 2-1, tied for fourth in the ACC.
