Miami football prospect, four-star quarterback Jake Garcia is excited about his newest opportunity playing for Grayson High School in suburban Atlanta.

Four-star quarterback Jake Garcia who is a priority for the Miami football program told 247 Sports he is excited about his newest opportunity at Grayson High School in suburban Atlanta. Garcia transferred to Grayson after he was ruled ineligible at Valdosta High School in Southern Georgia.

Grayson is the fifth high school Garcia will attend. Garcia chose to transfer to Valdosta when the California Interscholastic Federation moved its football season to January. Garcia hopes to graduate from high school early and enroll at USC in January. There has been rampant speculation Garcia will flip to Miami.

USC currently has four-star QB Miller Moss committed to their Class of 2021 with Garcia. The Trojans offered four-star QB, Jaxson Dart, last week. The offer to Dart fueled more speculation that Garcia will eventually flip to Miami. Garcia was ruled eligible to play for Grayson on Monday and could play Friday.

Garcia played one game for Valdosta before an injury and being ruled ineligible ending his season there. A waiver to reinstate Garcia was declined. Despite the disappointment, Garcia told 247 Sports he is grateful for his time at Valdosta and would do it again. Garcia also discussed his anticipation of playing Friday night.

"“Honestly, I wouldn’t trade this experience for anything…I really enjoyed my time here and if I was asked to come and I was told I can practice and only play one game at Valdosta, I would definitely do it still. I got so much from the experience…I can’t wait…I’m excited and really looking forward to the opportunity. It’s going to be great to get back out on the field and face those live bullets again, I’ve definitely missed it.”"

The first game that Garcia will play with Grayson on Friday against Parkview will be televised by ESPN2. Several players on both teams are committed to ACC teams according to the press release. Five Grayson players and one Parkview player are committed to ACC programs.
