The Miami football team will kickoff at 3:30 PM ET on ABC Saturday against North Carolina.

The Miami football team will be on free TV Saturday with a 3:30 PM ET kickoff on ABC against North Carolina. Miami returns home for the first time in seven weeks to host the Tar Heels and Georgia Tech the next two weeks. Miami has won their last three games on the road and has won five straight overall.

Miami enters the game on Saturday 7-1 in the ACC in third place a half-game behind Clemson. Clemson and Notre Dame have clinched spots in the ACC Championship Game. The Hurricanes can tie Clemson for second place in the ACC with a victory but will lose the head-to-head tiebreaker to the Tigers after losing to them in October.

North Carolina will travel to Hard Rock Stadium 7-3 overall and 6-3 in the ACC. Miami clinches the third spot in the ACC Bowl order with a victory in their last two games. North Carolina State is in fourth place in the ACC with an 8-3 record overall and 7-3 in the conference. Miami won 44-41 in Raleigh last month.

The expectation is that if Miami wins their last two games they will earn a berth in a New Year’s Six Bowl Game. If Clemson defeats Notre Dame in the ACC Championship Game the Tigers and Fighting Irish will both probably earn spots in the College Football Playoff. That would likely put Miami in the Orange Bowl with two wins.

North Carolina won on Saturday 49-9 against Western Carolina in their sole non-conference game of 2020. The Tat Heels have won three of their last four games. North Carolina moved back into the top 25 moving up seven spots to 20 this week. The Tar Heels will be the third game this season for Miami against a Top 25 team.

The Hurricanes defeated then number 18 Louisville in September and lost at Clemson who was number one at the time Miami played them. Miami lost 28-25 last season at North Carolina. The Hurricanes routed UNC 47-10 in 2018 at Hard Rock Stadium. That was before Mack Brown returned to Chapel Hill.
