At Florida State November 13
The most anticipated game on the 2021 Miami Football schedule is November 13 with a trip to Tallahassee to play Florida State. Miami has flipped the rivalry with wins the last four seasons.
Miami dominated the Seminoles in a 52-10 victory in 2020. The Hurricanes’ 52 points and 38 in the first half are series records.
Virginia Tech November 20
Miami will host Virginia Tech on November 16 for their last regular-season home game in 2021. The Hurricanes rallied for a 25-24 victory over the Hokies in Blacksburg in 2020.
Miami has won three of the last four and five of the last seven against Virginia Tech. The Hokies have had a lot of transition of their roster under Justin Fuente.
At Duke November 27
Another quirk of the 2020 COVID schedule is that Miami will play at Duke for the second consecutive year in 2021. Miami dominated Duke in a 48-0 victory in 2020. The shutout was the first by Miami in the ACC and on the road since 2000. The Miami victory over Duke in 2020 ended a two-game losing streak to the Blue Devils.
The way the schedule currently breaks down Miami is likely to be favored in every game but the season opener against Alabama and the game at North Carolina. Miami took a big step forward in 2020 winning the games they were expected to. The next step for the Hurricanes is to win a game they are not favored.
