The Miami football program is trending for three-star 2020 cornerback Isaiah Bond from Buford, Georgia, where current Hurricanes defensive line coach Jess Simpson was once the head coach. Signing CBs is important for Miami in the Class of 2022. The Hurricanes currently have seven scholarship CBs on the roster.

Bond is the 1008th ranked player in 2022, the 95th ranked CB and 80th ranked in the class Georgia. Miami only has four-star defensive tackle Brandon Cleveland and three-star defensive end Jamaal Johnson committed for 2022. All of the Miami scholarship CBs on the roster will have eligibility remaining in 2022.

Georgia transfer Tyrique Stevenson, juniors Al Blades and D.J. Ivey and sophomore Te’Cory Couch will all have the option of entering the 2022 NFL Draft. Freshmen Marcus Clarke and Isaiah Dunson and 2021 signee Malik Curtis will be on the Miami football roster in 2022 barring one of them transferring.

The 247 Sports crystal ball for Bond came from their Director Of Recruiting Steve Wiltfong. Bond has scholarship offers from 18 schools. Seven Power Five schools have offered Bond a scholarship with five of those being in the ACC. No SEC school has offered the Georgia native yet.

Miami has offered 25 scholarships to CBs in the Class of 2022. The highest-ranked of the 2022 CBs who are uncommitted that Miami has offered is four-star Denver Harris from North Shore high school in Houston. North Shore is the same high school that produced Miami linebacker, Corey Flagg.

If Bond eventually signs with Miami he would continue the pipeline the Hurricanes are building in the Peach State. In recent years, Miami has signed running back DeeJay Dallas, defensive tackle Jalar Holley, offensive lineman Jakai Clark, Dunson and 2021 signee, edge rusher Thomas Davis from Georgia.

Simpson returning to the Miami football program after two seasons with the Atlanta Falcons should continue to make Miami a player recruiting in Georgia. Prior to becoming a college assistant, Simpson was a legendary high school head coach in Atlanta. Bond would help Miami add depth at CB.
