The Miami basketball team hosts Boston College in its final home game of the 2020-21 season on Friday night. Miami lost to Boston College 84-62 in Chesnut Hill in January. The Eagles made 18 of their 35 three-point attempts in the demolition of the Hurricanes. Miami has lost six straight games and 10 of its last 11.

Isaiah Wong is having an outstanding season for shorthanded Miami. Wong averages 17.43 points per game which is fifth in the ACC. Boston College limited Wong to six points on 3-9 from the floor and 0-5 on three-point attempts in January. Three of the five starters for Miami against BC in January won’t play on Friday.

Freshman forward Matt Cross was dismissed from the Miami basketball team shortly after the loss to BC and has since transferred to Louisville. Freshman wing Earl Timberlake and sophomore guard Harlond Beverly are out for the season with injuries. Miami is down to six scholarship players for the remainder of the season.

The Miami basketball team obviously have to do a better job defending the three-point line against the Eagles on Friday than they did in the first meeting. BC leads the ACC in three-point attempts and makes, but is just ninth in percentage. Miami is 14th in the ACC shooting and defending three-point shots.
