The Miami football program was named in the top five for 2022 three-star wide receiver prospect Issiah Bond who released the quintet via a creative video on Twitter. Bond is expected to take an unofficial visit to Miami this weekend with four-star quarterback Jacurri Brown according to Gaby Urrutia of Inside the U.

Brown is ranked as the 1020th player nationally, 96th at cornerback, but expected to play WR in college and the 80th player in Georgia for 2022. Miami is the favorite to sign both Bond and Brown per his 247Sports profile. Bond is also considering, Alabama, Georgia, Pitt and Wisconsin. Bond has not announced a commitment date.

Urrutia and 247 Sports Director of Football Recruiting Steve Wiltfong both project Bond to sign with Miami. Miami only has a commitment from four-star defensive tackle Brandon Cleveland for 2022. Miami lost three-star defensive end, Jamaal Johnson, last week. Many think if Brown commits others will follow.

Bond played CB and WR for Buford High School outside of Atlanta who finished 13-1 and won the Georgia AAAAAA state title in 2020. Miami is building a pipeline to Georgia in recent years. Defensive line coach Jess Simpson was a legendary high school coach in the Peach State with multiple state championships.

Simpson is leading the recruitment for Bond with Miami WR coach Rob Likens according to Urrutia. Miami should have most of their WR corps remaining on the roster for 2022. Mike Harley is in his last season of eligibility in 2021. Several other WRs on the Miami roster also have the option of entering the NFL Draft.

Oklahoma transfer Charleston Rambo, Jeremiah Payton and Mark Pope all have the option of entering the 2022 NFL Draft. Miami has 12 WR on their roster for the 2021 season. Seven of the Miami WRs are in their first or second season of college this fall. The Miami football program should not have to add many WRs for 2022.
