ETop quarterback prospect Jacurri Brown will announce his collegiate destination on Friday at 9:30 ET on CBS Sports HQ live streaming service. The Miami football program is the leader for the four-star QB with all six crystal balls from 247Sports.Com. Miami has an average crystal ball of seven out of 10 for Brown.

Brown attends Lowndes High School in Valdosta, Georgia where his teammate was 2021 Miami signee edge rusher Thomas Davis. The 2022 Miami football class currently has only four-star defensive tackle Brandon Cleveland from Sandalwood High School in Tampa as the sole commitment for 2022.

In addition to Miami, Brown has Arizona State, Auburn, Florida and Texas A&M in his top five. Only the Sun Devils still need a QB in their 2022 Class. Receiving a commitment from a QB this early for the Class of 2022 would be far ahead of Miami waiting until early National Signing Day in the 2021 Class.

Jake Garcia signed with Miami on Early National Signing Day about a month after de-committing from USC. A commitment from Brown would provide Miami with a strong QB room entering the 2022 season. In addition to Garcia, Miami projects to have redshirt freshman Peyton Matocha and freshman Tyler Van Dyke in 2022.

Brown is the 167th ranked player, fifth-ranked dual-threat QB and 20th ranked player Georgia in 2022. At 6’4, 205 pounds and a skilled runner Brown would be a perfect fit for the Miami offense. Brown threw 1,537 yards, 14 TD’s, and seven interceptions and for 1,101 yards and 16 TDs during the 2020 season.

Brown would match the height of Matocha and Van Dyke with more athleticism. Work on accuracy will be the main goal for Brown entering his senior season. Brown has completed 52.8 percent of his passes in high school. Getting a commitment from Brown as expected on Friday should spur more for the Hurricanes 2022 class.
