The Las Vegas Bishop Gorman alum also ran seven times for seven yards with the Hurricanes in 2018. Martell opted out of the 2020 season and entered the transfer portal again this offseason. Miami added King through the transfer portal in 2020 but did not sign a high school QB in that class.

The average of the four Miami scholarship QBs on the 2018 roster was .8962. The average of the Miami QBs on the 2019 roster was .923 with Perry, Martell, Matocha and Williams.

Williams left Miami following the 2019 season when King announced he would join the Hurricanes in January 2020.

Miami signed Tyler Van Dyke in the Class of 2020. Van Dyke was the seventh-ranked pro-style QB and graded at 0.9173.

The Miami QBs averaged .8875 in 2020, but that number was under-ranked with King far more talented than his .8810 rating in the Class of 2016.

With Garcia, the number will go up in 2021. Garcia is the fifth-ranked pro-style QB in the Class of 2021 and graded out at .9763.

The four QBs on the 2021 Miami roster grade out at .9023. The addition of Brown and King moving on after the 2021 season will elevate the average rating of the Miami QBs more for the 2021 season. Brown graded out at 0.9328 by 247.

Brown is the fifth-ranked dual-threat QB for 2021. The 2022 Miami roster with Matocha, Van Dyke, Garcia and Brown will have an average rating of .9153. That is 0.08 less than the 2019 Miami QBs but with far more maturity. The future is bright for the Miami Hurricanes at quarterback.
