The Miami football program is high on the list of three-star wide receiver Quan Lee after he named the Hurricanes as one of his eight finalists on Sunday night. Miami is thought to be the co-leaders in the recruitment of Lee with West Virginia. The Hurricanes and Mountaineers are listed as warm for Lee with UCF and Nebraska.

Lee is the 667th ranked player, 84th WR and 86th player in Florida in the Class of 2022. The other four schools Lee named as finalists are Coastal Carolina, Georgia Tech, Penn State and Virginia Tech in his top eight on Sunday night. The Chanticleers are an interesting addition with the other seven finalists.

Only Coastal Carolina and UCF are not Power Five programs on the finalist list for Lee. Coastal Carolina finished the 2020 season 11-1 with the 60th best passing offense in FBS. Miami had the 29th ranked passing offense in FBS in 2020 averaging 277.3 passing yards per game. Lee would add speed to the Miami WR corps.

Lee is listed at 5’11 170 pounds and also runs track. Attracting WRs in the Class of 2022 will come from a place of strength for Miami with four-star quarterback Jacurri Brown the Hurricanes sole 2022 commit. Playing for Bucholz High School in Gainesville, Lee has 79 receptions for 1,791 yards and 17 touchdowns in his career.

Lee broke out in 2020 with 44 receptions for 916 yards and 11 TDs. The Miami WRs corps will be in flux after the 2021 season. Senior Mike Harley is the only definite departing WR. Four other Miami WRs will have the option of entering the 2022 NFL Draft. The Miami football team has a deep group behind those five WRs.
