Miami football favored to receive commitment from WR Quan Lee Wednesday
The Miami football program is favored to receive a commitment from three-star wide receiver Quan Lee when his commitment is announced on Wednesday. Lee posted to his Instagram account last week he will commit on May 26 at 2:30 PM in a ceremony at his high school, F. W. Buchholz in Gainesville.
Lee is the 672nd ranked player, 87th ranked WR and 88th ranked player in Florida in the Class of 2022. Miami only has a commitment from four-star quarterback Jacurri Brown for 2022. Miami head coach Manny Diaz expects June to be in his words a manic recruiting month. Miami kicks off the month with a June 1 cookout.
Southeast Recruiting Analyst Andrew Ivins of 247 Sports and Gaby Urrutia of Inside the U both logged crystal balls for Lee to commit to Miami. Lee lists eight schools on the Instagram posts as those he is considering, but UCF, Miami, Nebraska and West Virginia are the leaders according to his 247 profile.
The announcement on Wednesday was moved up from the original July 7 date. Miami is hopeful to receive a commitment from Lee after Isaiah Bond committed to Florida earlier this month. Six WRs are strongly considering Miami according to their 247 Sports profiles. Most of the Miami WR corps is young.

Five Miami WRs will be eligible to enter the 2022 NFL Draft. The other seven are entering their first or second season in 2020. Lee has been a productive player throughout his high school career. In three seasons, Lee has 79 receptions for 1,791 receiving yards and 509 return yards with a punt return touchdown.
Lee would be a good addition to the Miami football roster. If Lee commits, the Miami class of Brown and Lee would move to 60th nationally in 2022. The expected commitment from Lee could potentially be the first of a few in June with recruiting opening back up. Miami signed the 11th ranked Class in 2021.
