The Miami football program will have its second big weekend of recruiting since prospects were allowed to begin official visits at the beginning of June. The offensive line and a few defensive prospects will be the focus this weekend with quarterback and wide receiver that Canes Warning examined in a previous post.

Miami could lose all five starters on the OL after the 2021 season. The Hurricanes need to continue to recruit strong on the OL in the Class of 2022. Miami currently only has commits from four-star quarterback Jacurri Brown and three-star WR Quan Lee. Brown and Lee are two of the visitors this weekend.

Miami has offered 27 OTs and 15 interior OL in the Class of 2022. Adding OL in 2022 with the potential of losing all five starters following the season is critical. Six of the OTs considering Miami are strongly considering the Hurricanes. Leyon Nelson who is visiting Miami this weekend is one of those prospects.

Miami signed four OL in the Class of 2021. Defense will also be a focus this weekend. The biggest name for Miami among the defensive visitors is five-star DL Bear Alexander. Linebacker Justin Medlock and athlete Jacolby Spells who Miami projects to play cornerback will also be in Coral Gables this weekend.

Miami will continue to big names visiting Coral Gables the next two weekends. Nine prospects will take official visits with the Miami football program next weekend and five will in Coral Gables commencing June 25. The next three weekends will set the foundation for the 2022 Miami class.
