Miami football recruits key visits from OL and defense this weekend

Two offensive tackles and one guard will be in Coral Gables this weekend. Three-star OTs Falentha Carswell and Leyton Nelson and three-star guard Cameron Williams will be part of the visitors to the Miami football program this weekend. Carswell who has primarily been a basketball player is a raw prospect.

Falentha Carswell OT 5.6 6’7″ 275 

Miami is one of nine schools involved with Carswell that includes Alabama and Clemson. Carswell is a player whose recruitment will evolve with him recently becoming a Power Five prospect. As a recent addition to the recruiting rankings, Carswell is the 64th ranked OT and 61st ranked player in Georgia.

Leyton Nelson OT 6’6″ 278 

Nelson from Orlando Boone has Louisville, Pittsburgh and Tennessee as the other schools he is strongly considering. Prior to visiting Miami, Nelson took an official visit to Pittsburgh on June 4, an unofficial visit to UCF on Wednesday will visit Tennessee on June 18 and Louisville on June 25.

Cameron Williams OG 6’6″ 370  

Williams is part of the continuing effort of the Miami football program to create a pipeline from Houston to Coral Gables. Quarterback D’Eriq King and 2020 signee, LB Corey Flagg are among the current Hurricanes from Houston. Oklahoma, Oregon and Texas are also high on Williams’ list. Visits to OU and UT are the next two weekends.
