Anthony Lucas 6’4.5, 279 pounds, 4-star Scottsdale, Arizona

Lucas will be a difficult recruitment. Alabama, Norte Dame, Oregon, Texas, Texas A&M, UCLA and USC are the other schools Lucas is strongly considering. No crystal balls currently exist for Lucas. Lucas is the 83rd ranked player, 14th DL and top ranked player in Arizona for 2021. Lucas has been busy in June.

Lucas took visits to Texas A&M, Notre Dame and Oregon the last two weeks. After the Miami football program this weekend, Lucas is scheduled to visit Alabama next weekend. No visits are scheduled after the one Lucas takes to Tuscaloosa. By the end of June, Lucas will have used up his allotted five official visits.

Keahnist Thompson 6’3, 255 pound DL, Lakeland, Florida

Miami is the middle weekend of three official vists Thompson will take in June. Thompson visted UCF last weekend and Texas next weekend. The Hurricanes, Knights and Longhorns are the currently leaders to receive a commitment from Thompson. UCF currently has two crystal balls for Thompson.

Miami could have a transition on the defensive line in 2022. Defensive ends DeAndre Johnson and Zach McCloud and tackle Jon Ford will all depart. Tackles Jared Harrison-Hunte and Nesta Silvera could potentially leave early for the NFL Draft. Five-star DT Leonard Taylor will be ready to be the anchor on the Miami DL in 2022.
