Miami football legends arrive for Paradise Camp
Ten Miami football legends will be in attendance at Paradise Camp this weekend via the Hurricanes official Twitter handle. More than two dozen Hurricanes will attend Paradise Camp this weekend. The alums in attendance will be there to assist the Miami coaching staff with instruction during Paradise Camp on Saturday.
The Miami football alums confirmed by the official Twitter account will be led by Pro Football Hall of Fame wide receiver Michael Irvin, the first player announced on Thursday. Other players who will be in Coral Gables represent a cross-section of Hurricanes alums from 1989 through recent graduates.
Kicker Jose Borregales, offensive tackle Joaquin Gonzalez, wide receivers K.J. Osborn and Lamar Thomas, defensive ends Jaelan Phillips and Greg Rousseau, center Brett Romberg, safety Sheldrick Redwine and linebacker Sean Spence have made their way to Coral Gables for Paradise Camp on Saturday.
The ability to learn from Irvin, several All-Americans, current NFL players Osborn and Redwine, Borregales, Phillips and Rousseau who are about to embark on their NFL Career and former Division I WR coach Thomas would be unmatched by almost every college football program in the country.
The accomplishments among the 10 alums who will be in attendance will help the prospects and Hurricanes players learn and gain knowledge to help their football careers. The number of alums is not inclusive. More alums could attend. The 10 above alums are the ones confined by @canesfootball on Twitter.
This weekend is more likely to set a foundation for the Class of 2023 than prospects the Miami football program is recruiting for 2022. Most of the top Miami prospects in the Class of 2023 have already taken official visits earlier this month. After recruiting re-opened on June 1, another dead period will begin on July 1.
Four-stars, quarterback Jacurri Brown and cornerback Khamauri Rogers and three-star wide receivers Landon Ibieta and Quan Lee are the four players committed to the Miami football program for 2022. The Hurricanes should receive a few more commitments from players scheduled to announce in early July.
