Miami Hurricanes QB commit Jacurri Brown ready for Elite 11 finals

Miami Hurricanes 2022 commit Jacurri Brown will participate in the Elite 11 quarterback camp that begins on Wednesday in Los Angeles. Elite 11 is the most exclusive camp for high schools stars every summer. The top-level rising senior QBs according to the Elite 11 website are invited to participate each year.

The 2021 Elite 11 Camp will take place at Mira Costa High School in Manhattan Beach, California from Wednesday through this Saturday, July 3. According to the Elite 11 site: “The 2021 Elite 11 Finals will bring together top performers to receive advanced, one-on-one quarterback instruction in a highly competitive setting.

The 2020 Elite 11 Finals will span four days and include on-field drills, routes-on-air, classroom instruction and off-field development. The Elite 11 will be named at the conclusion of The Elite 11 Finals.” Brown is one of 10 out of the top 12 QBs in the Class of 2022 that will be in Manhattan Beach this weekend.

Brown is the 12th ranked QB in the Class of 2022 according to the 247 Sports rankings. With Brown committed for 2022, four-star QB Tyler Van Dyke signing in 2020 and Jake Garcia in 2021, the future at QB is bright for the Miami Hurricanes. Brown was summarized by Gabe Brooks of 247Sports.Com

Through his first three years of high school, Brown has completed 52.8 percent of his passes for 3,387 yards, 28 touchdowns and 14 interceptions. While the accuracy is concerning, Brown will work on that at Elite 11 and offensive coordinator Rhett Lashlee can continue to develop that once he gets to Miami.

Brown is an elite runner who has 3,323 rushing yards, 44 touchdowns and 14 100-yard games during his high school career. Brown has eclipsed 1,000 yards in each of the last two seasons. At 6’4, 205 pounds, Brown has the talent to be another elite dual-threat QB in the Miami offense like D’Eriq King with far better size.
