Miami Hurricanes 2022 QB commit Jacurri Brown recruiting wish list
Four-star quarterback Jacurri Brown one of three Miami Hurricanes commits in the Class of 2022 released a wish list of recruits on his Sports Illustrated blog earlier this week. Brown has taken on the role of the leader of the 2022 recruiting class. Having a QB committed this early should eventually pay dividends for Miami.
Brown, four-star cornerback Khamauri Rogers and three-star wide receiver Landon Ibieta are the only three prospects committed to Miami for 2020. Four-stars, defensive lineman Zane Durant and athlete Jacolby Spells and three-star offensive tackle Leyton Nelson are announcing their collegiate commitments on July 4.
Several of the prospects on the list Brown posted will be making their commitment announcements later this month. The three-man Miami 2022 recruiting class currently ranks 72nd nationally. Those rankings can change quickly depending on which players commit to other programs.
Brown is in Manhattan Beach, California this weekend performing in the Elite 11 Finals. The Elite 11 hosts 11 of the best QBs in the rising senior class each season. Brown is one of 10 of the top 12 QBs nationally participating in the 2022 Elite 11. Current Miami QB Tyler Van Dyke participated in the 2020 Elite 11.

Stewart, a defensive end, is the lone five-star player on the Brown list. Bissainthe and Stewart are the only two players on Brown’s list who have crystal balls that unanimously project them to commit to Miami. Bissainthe and Stewart will both likely wait for Early National Signing Day in December to announce their commitments.
Brown has a good balance of six offensive players and seven defensive on his list. Not surprisingly Brown lists two wide receivers, two offensive linemen, one tight end and one TE/WR hybrid. Miami will have good depth at running back entering 2022 if everyone expected to returns. The OL and WR are 2022 priorities.
