The Miami football team continues to be towards building what can be an exceptional group of cornerbacks in the Class of 2022. Four-star CB Trequon Fegans from Oxford, Alabama announced the Hurricanes as one of his finalists on Wednesday with Alabama, Georgia, Oklahoma and South Carolina.

Earlier in the day, four-star athlete Chris Graves who Miami projects at CB also named the Hurricanes as one of his four finalists. The Miami football program already has a commitment from four-star CB Khamauri Rogers for 2022. The Hurricanes might have to replace four CBs following the 2022 season.

Fegans is the 77th ranked player, 10th ranked CB and fourth-ranked player in Alabama in the Class of 2022. Rogers is ranked 61st, ninth and second in Mississippi for 2022. The prospect of gaining commitment from two top 10 CBs in the Class of 2022 is a testament to Miami coaches Travaris Robinson and DeMarcus Van Dyke.

Robinson was hired as the Miami defensive backs coach after being let go at South Carolina following the departure of head coach Will Muschamp. Van Dyke was elevated from the Miami recruiting staff to CBs coach during the offseason. Robinson and Van Dyke are renowned as elite recruiters.

None of the final five teams to gain a commitment for Fegans have emerged as a favorite to sign him. No crystal balls have emerged from 247 Sports for Fegans. Fegans has taken official visits to Miami and South Carolina attended a camp at Alabama and has taken unofficial visits to Florida and UCF.

At 6’2, 181 pounds, Fegans is another CB with length to potentially add to the Miami secondary. Miami has offered 29 CBs in the Class of 2022 with three strongly considering the Hurricanes. Fegans is one of the three, but Graves who is listed as an athlete and the committed Rogers are not included.
