Miami Hurricanes Mike Harley and Charleston Rambo were snubbed by Pro Football Focus in their ranking of the top 10 collegiate wide receiver duos entering the 2021 season. Harley had a breakout season in 2020 with 57 receptions for 799 yards and seven touchdowns to lead Miami in all three categories.

Rambo had a step back last season but produced 76 receptions for 1,180 yards and nine TDs in three seasons with Oklahoma before transferring to Miami during the 2021 offseason. Harley and Rambo teaming up to catch passes from quarterback D’Eriq King should make the Miami Hurricanes offense more explosive in 2021.

Several ACC WR duos were ranked in the PFF Top 10. Ross and Joe Ngata of Clemson are the second-ranked duo. Jaquarii Roberson and Donavon Greene were ranked fourth and Tre Turner and Tayvion Robinson of Virginia Tech are ninth on the PFF list. Among other schools ranked ahead of Miami are Nevada and Purdue.

Harley having a second reliable WR across the field should raise his play this fall. King will have Rambo as a deep threat with Harley underneath and Will Mallory at tight end to throw to this season. Miami lost Brevin Jordan at TE as the only departure on offense, but the Hurricanes should continue developing under Rhett Lashlee.

Rambo had seven receptions for 71 yards in the Miami spring and showed the ability to get deep consistent in the three scrimmages. Harley was the sole consistent WR Miami had in 2020. The addition of Rambo will hopefully raise the play of Mark Pope and Dee Wiggins who struggled with drops the last two seasons.

Miami has promising talent at WR behind Harley and Rambo. The Hurricanes passing game will be about those two and catching passes from King should produce big numbers. By the end of the 2021 season, Harley and Rambo should produce enough to rank them in the top 10 WR duos by the end of the season.
