Miami football hopeful for commit from 4-Star WR Isaiah Horton Wednesday
The Miami football program is likely expecting a commitment from four-star wide receiver Isaiah Horton with his Wednesday announcement. Horton tweeted on Monday afternoon he will be announcing his commitment on Wednesday at 1 PM ET. Four crystal balls from 247 Sports project Horton to commit to Miami.
Horton is the 248th ranked player, 39th ranked WR and eighth-ranked player in Tennessee out of Oakland High School in Murfreesboro. Horton visited the Miami football program for his only official visit on June 11. When visits opened up in June, Horton also had unofficial visits to Alabama, Florida and two with Tennessee.
All four crystal balls for Horton have been logged in July. Steve Wiltfong, the director of football recruiting for 247 was the most prominent name projecting Horton to Miami. Horton would be the second commitment from a WR for 2022. Three-star WR Landon Ibieta committed to Miami earlier this month.
Alabama and Florida are the main competition for Miami receiving a commitment from Horton. Miami currently has the 62nd ranked recruiting class for 2022. Miami has six players committed for 2022. A commitment from Horton will move the 2022 Miami recruiting class to 58th overall between Iowa and Washington.

Horton would be the fourth commit for Miami in July. The Hurricanes have also received pledges from four-star cornerback Chris Graves, three-star offensive tackle Falentha Carswell and three-star linebacker Justin Medlock. Miami could have more commits on the board coming in the next few weeks.
Other Miami prospects to watch are four-star CB Trequon Fagans, three-star offensive lineman Jacob Hood and three-star brother defensive backs Damari and Ja’Cari Henderson. The 2022 Miami recruiting class is currently divided with three prospects on offense and three on defense.

Four-star CB Khamauri Rogers who si the 64th ranked player for 2022 is the highest-ranked player currently committed to Miami. Four-star quarterback Jacurri Brown is the highest ranked offensive player committed to Miami for 2022. Miami will likely seek to sign three to four WRs for 2022.
