Miami Hurricanes wide receiver Charleston Rambo picked up his latest praise atop one of the transfer lists entering the 2021 season. Mike Farrell of Rivals.Com named the top transfer in the ACC in his article “ACC Week: Five impact newcomers from the transfer portal.” Rambo is the only WR on the list.

Rambo transferred to Miami from Oklahoma during the 2021 offseason. The addition of Rambo is expected to boost the Miami Hurricanes passing game downfield in 2021. Miami was missing a consistent deep threat for star quarterback D’Eriq King during the 2020 season. Rambo teams with Mike Harley at WR.

Harley and Rambo should provide Miami a strong inside-outside tandem at WR this fall. Harley thrived during the second half of the 2020 season. Rambo slumped last season at Oklahoma after a breakout 2019 season playing across from current Dallas Cowboys’ WR CeeDee Lamb. Miami needs Rambo to return to his 2019 form.

King has been working hard with Harley and Rambo during training camp. Gaining the potential for a second playmaker at WR is critical for the Miami offense to take another step forward under second-year coordinator Rhett Lashlee. No one has utilized the transfer portal better than the Miami Hurricanes under Manny Diaz.

"1. WR Charleston Rambo, MiamiA huge pickup for the Hurricanes, Rambo will immediately become the best receiver on the roster. He will need to develop quick chemistry with quarterback D’Eriq King if Miami is going to make noise in the ACC this season. Rambo showed flashes at Oklahoma, but will really have a chance to stand out in Coral Gables."

Miami will play three of the other four players on Farrell’s list. North Carolina running back Ty Chandler who transferred from Tennessee is second,  Florida State QB Mackenzie Milton who transferred from Central Florida to Florida State is third and FSU offensive lineman Jermaine Johnson from Georgia is fifth.

Chandler and Rambo could have big impacts when the Hurricanes and Tar Heels play on October 16 in Chapel Hill. Miami was shredded by North Carolina on the ground in 2020. Milton returning to play this season after a life-threatening leg injury in 2018. If there was a preseason all-transfer team, Rambo would certainly be on it.
