Miami football top transfer for each 2021 FBS opponent
The Miami football program has been one of the most active in the country adding players through the transfer portal. Each of the Football Bowl Subdivision teams Miami plays this season has a key transfer on its roster. Teams are able to increase talent and add depth through the transfer portal.
The Miami football team will play against 20 players on the 247 Sports “College Football Transfer Portal Top 150: Final rankings for the 2021 cycle.” Alabama has two players ranked in the top 150. Linebacker Henry To’o To’o from Tennessee is the top-ranked 2021 transfer. Wide receiver Jameson Williams from Ohio State is 23rd.
Florida State has the most players ranked in the top 150 transfers among the Miami football opponents with seven. The Seminoles’ biggest name and highest-ranked transfer is QB McKenzie Milton. The Miami football program has four transfers they signed during the 2021 offseason that are ranked in the 247 Sports Top 150.
Cornerback Tyrique Stevenson is ranked 10th, wide receiver Charleston Rambo 25th, defensive end Deandre Johnson 104th and offensive lineman Justice Oluwaseun 119th. Stevenson is listed as a co-starter with Te’Cory Couch and D.J. Ivey. Rambo is a starting WR, Johnson a second-team DE and Oluwaseun helps the OL.
The transfer portal has become a major part of college football. The Miami football program has fortified its roster by adding transfers each of the six seasons Manny Diaz has been the Hurricanes defensive coordinator and now head coach. Rambo will be a critical part of the Miami game plan against Alabama.
