Urban Meyer Jacksonville Jaguars
Urban Meyer won his first game as an NFL head coach with the Jacksonville Jaguars ending the second-longest losing streak at 20 games on Sunday against the Dolphins. Scandal has followed Meyer at his last three coaching jobs with Florida, Jacksonville and Ohio State. The latest scandal was last month.
While back in Columbus, Meyer was caught on video dancing inappropriately with an unidentified young woman at his restaurant after a Jacksonville loss to Cincinnati. Meyer claimed that he was at the restaurant celebrating a family birthday with his children and grandchildren. Meyer has often covered up or spun other scandals.
This is not the first time Meyer has been involved in a scandal. Meyer had coaches and players who were involved in incidents of domestic violence and sexual assault throughout his career. The most notable was former Ohio State wide receivers coach Zack Smith who was eventually fired due to domestic violence.
Meyer failed to report domestic violence of one of Ohio State wide receivers coach Zack Smith. After the report became public, Smith was dismissed and Ohio State suspended Meyer for three games. Meyer resigned at the end of the 2018 season and was replaced by current Buckeyes head coach Ryan Day.
