Tim Brewster

Tim Brewster has experience coaching in college and the NFL. Brewster was the head coach at Minnesota from 2007 through 2010.

Most recently, Brewster was the assistant head coach and tight ends coach at Florida. Brewster helped mentor Kyle Pitts who won the 2020 Mackey Award as the best TE in college football.

Pitts was the fourth pick in the 2021 NFL Draft by the Atlanta Falcons. In an exhilarating 2020 season, Pitts had 43 receptions for 770 yards, 17.9 yards per reception and 12 TDs in just eight games. With Will Mallory and Elijah Arroyo on the Miami Hurricanes roster, Brewster would be a great mentor to them at TE.

Brewster has never been an offensive coordinator but has coached wide receivers or tight ends, plus his head coaching stint at Minnesota has been spent at Power Five schools or in the NFL since 1989. Brewster was the running coordinator for North Carolina in 2019.

With Mack Brown in his first year back at North Carolina, the Tar Heels finished fourth in the ACC in rushing averaging 188.15 yards per game under Brewster. Florida TE Kenmore Gamble has 30 receptions for 399 yards and four TDs this season. Mallory was inconsistent this season and Arroyo had limited snaps for Miami.
