Four Miami football prospects to watch through end of early signing period Friday
The 2022 Miami football signing class could add more players by the end of the early period on Friday. Miami is recruiting several players that could sign their National Letters of Intents by Friday. The Hurricanes signed the 62nd ranked Class on Wednesday. Mario Cristobal and the current Miami staff continue recruiting.
Names to watch through the end of the Early Signing Period are defensive end Cyrus Moss, tight end Jaleel Skinner, wide receiver Kevin Coleman and Alabama transfer cornerback Marcus Banks. Moss named Miami as one of five finalists on Tuesday. With Oregon also in the mix that could be a good indicator for Cristobal.
The Ducks own all 247 Sports Crystal Balls for Moss, but the most recent was logged July 31. Moss is a highly ranked four-star prospect and would give Miami a pair of elite edge rushers in the Class of 2022 with Nyjalik Kelly who signed Wednesday. Moss will announce his destination on January 8 at the All-American Bowl.
Moss visited the Miami football program on Sunday. Coleman also visited Miami last weekend and there has been some speculation that he will also announce his commitment live from the All-American Bowl. That would necessitate both players discreetly signing by Friday if they want to enroll at Miami next month.
Skinner is announcing his decision on Friday. Alabama is the prohibitive favorite to sign Skinner who committed to the Crimson Tide in October. Miami making a late push led by Cristobal. Skinner took a second official to visit to Miami last weekend. The second official visit was allowed because of the coaching change.

Banks who is the second highest rated transfer CB has no timetable on when he has to sign or when he could make that decision. Two crystal balls on 247 Sports are logged for Banks to transfer to Miami. Banks would likely be an immediate starter for Miami and give the three 2022 CBs a chance to develop.
Cristobal said on Wednesday he expects Miami to sign between 16 and 20 players once the Class in finalized with high school signees in February and through the transfer portal during the offseason. Miami could sign more transfers after spring practice as Cristobal mentioned to reporters on Wednesday.
