Bubba Bolden and Brevin Jordan recruiting Las Vegas prospect Cyrus Moss for Miami football
Las Vegas Bishop Gorman and Miami football alums Bubba Bolden and Brevin Jordan are recruiting Gaels four-star edge rusher Cyrus Moss for the Hurricanes. Bolden and Jordan have been active on social media pitching the 63rd ranked player and sixth-ranked edge rusher for 2022.
Moss initially received four crystal balls from 247 Sports for Oregon this summer when new Miami head coach Mario Cristobal was the Ducks head coach. On Thursday, USC received the first post-Cristobal to Miami crystal ball from 247 Sports recruiting analyst Blair Angulo. Moss is signing his National Letter of Intent on Friday.
Alabama, Arizona State, Oregon, Miami and USC are the five finalists Moss tweeted on Tuesday. Moss will announce his college destination on January 8 at the Army All-American Bowl live on NBC. Four-star wide receiver Kevin Coleman who is thought to be leaning towards signing with Miami will also announce at the All-American Bowl.
Bolden has been extremely active on Instagram and Twitter trying to recruit Moss to Miami. Moss would continue the Bishop Gorman to Coral Gables’ pipeline started by Jordan in the 2018 signing class. Bolden and former Miami quarterback Tate Martell transferred to Miami in January 2019.
Moss would become the highest-rated signee in the Miami football Class for 2022. If Miami can sign Moss their recruiting class would rise from a current ranking of 62nd after Early National Signing Day on Wednesday to 49th. Adding Coleman and Moss would vault the 2022 Miami signing class to 37th nationally.
Moss visited Miami last weekend and he was officially offered a scholarship on Thursday. Although the Hurricanes are late to offering Moss, Cristobal has an established relationship with him. Kelly and Moss would provide Miami an elite edge-rushing tandem for at least the next three years.
Bolden has been active in the comments on Moss’s Instagram post. Bolden and Jordan could be key in where Moss decides to sign. Cristobal and his staff are continuing to push for late signees in the Class of 2022. Miami had a late start with Cristobal securing the signees already committed to Miami and signing players late.
Miami signed eight players on Wedneday. Cristobal expects that number to at least double with the potential of getting up to 20 signees of high school players and through the transfer portal. Another player to watch is five-star DE Shemar Stewart. Miami is far from finished in the Class of 2022.
