Miami football prospect Jack Pyburn tweet excites Hurricanes fans
Ahead of his unofficial visit with the Miami football program on Sunday night and Monday, prospect Jack Pyburn excited the Hurricanes fan base with his tweet announcing his arrival in Coral Gables. Pyburn who is a recent de-commitment from Minnesota is a three-star edge rusher who has been on the rise recently.
Pyburn is the 1,172nd player, 63rd edge rusher and 152nd in Florida in the Class of 2022. The Miami visit this weekend was unofficial for Pyburn. Pyburn also took his official visit with Auburn on Friday and Saturday. Auburn and Miami appear to be the favorites to sign Pyburn. Auburn and Miami are the favorites per 247 Sports.
Pyburn is a productive player that had 109 tackles, 32 tackles for loss and 14 sacks as a senior in 2022. The 2022 Miami football class already has edge rushers Nyjalik Kelly and Cyrus Moss as part of its 2022 Class. The Hurricanes are also strongly pursuing five-star Monsignor Pace defensive lineman Shemar Stewart.
Pyburn told Sports Illustrated he was taking the visits to Auburn and Miami this past weekend and then decide where he will take official and unofficial visits next weekend. Pyburn also recently picked up an offer from Virginia and Florida State is reportedly interested. Mario Cristobal and his staff are making the DL a priority.

Miami fans excitedly and frequently replied to the tweet from Pyburn ahead of his Miami visit. As of Monday afternoon, Pyburn’s tweet had been liked over 1,400 times, shared 200 times and commented on 93 times. Miami fans are locked in about wanting to bring the Jacksonville resident a few hundred miles South.
Miami would rise from the 36th ranked class currently to 29th with a commitment from Pyburn. Pyburn would add depth to a Miami defensive line that needs it. Jahfari Harvey and Chantz Williams return as the projected starting defensive ends for Miami in 2021. Kelly and Moss should challenge for playing time in 2022.
