Miami football prospect Jack Pyburn gets endorsement from Dan Morgan
Miami football legend Dan Morgan tweeted at Hurricanes prospect Jack Pyburn about making his signing a reality. Pyburn who is a former Minnesota commit visited Auburn and Miami over the weekend. A tweet from Pyburn ahead of his Miami visit has gained 175 retweets and nearly 1,500 likes as of Tuesday morning.
Pyburn is the 1,172 ranked player, 63rd edge rusher and 152nd player in Florida in the Class of 2022. Morgan holds the Miami career record with 532 tackles. Following his career at Miami, Morgan spent seven seasons in the NFL. The last two were injury-plagued that eventually forced his retirement.
In a video posted to Instagram Pyburn is wearing the number 44 Miami jersey. Morgan wore 44 during his Miami career. Former Miami starting middle LB Bradley Jennings is the last Hurricane to wear number 44. Jennings left the Miami football program during the 2021 season and eventually transfer to Indiana.
New head coach Mario Cristobal has quickly made an impact in recruiting. Since Cristobal was hired last month the Miami football roster has added three top 100 players in the Class of 2022. Cristobal has made the line of scrimmage an emphasis. Miami has added defensive ends Nyjalik Kelly and Cyrus Moss to its 2022 Class.

Pyburn had 109 tackles, 32 tackles for loss and 14 sacks as a senior for the Bolles School in Jacksonville in 2022. In addition to Kelly and Moss Miami is also strongly pursuing five-star Monsignor Pace defensive lineman Shemar Stewart as part of its 2022 Class. Miami is building a deep pass-rushing unit.
Pyburn would add depth in the future with Kelly and Moss. If Miami can sign Pyburn and Stewart they would have one of the best groups of pass rushers in the Class of 2022. Miami would improve from the 36th ranked class to 29th with a commitment from Pyburn. A Stewart commitment would move Miami to 23rd.
