The Miami Basketball team hosts Virginia on Saturday hoping to avenge a 71-58 loss to the Cavaliers two weeks ago. Miami enters the weekend with an 11-4 record in the ACC, one game behind Duke and Notre Dame in the conference. The Hurricanes hold the tiebreaker with Duke, but not Notre Dame.
Virginia had a four-game winning streak snapped at Virginia Tech on Monday. The Cavaliers are currently tied for fifth in the ACC with Wake Forest. Virginia slowly pulled away in the first half and led by as many as 20 in the second 20 minutes to defeat Miami in the first meeting. Virginia shot 60 percent from the floor last time.
The Cavaliers also made eight out of 15 three-point attempts. Miami has to improve defensively at home to defeat Virginia on Saturday. The loss to Virginia two weeks ago was the second in a row for Miami. Miami has won three straight games since the loss to Virginia to secure their place in the top four in the ACC.
The top four finishers in the ACC regular season receive a double-bye in the ACC Tournament to the quarterfinals. Miami owns the tiebreaker with fourth-place North Carolina and Wake Forest who is tied for fifth with fifth place Virginia. A win over the Cavaliers puts the Hurricanes in an excellent position for the double-bye.

After hosting Virginia on Saturday Miami travels to 11-16 Pittsburgh on Tuesday at 8 PM. Miami hosts Virginia Tech next Saturday in the final home game of the season.
