The Miami football team has the third most favorable schedule to make a run at a conference title among contenders according to Brad Crawford of 247 Sports. Miami games at Texas A&M in September and Clemson in November will be the ones that are highlighted by the national media.

Clemson has outscored the Miami football team 158-20 the last three times the teams have played. Miami will have a lot to prove at Clemson in November. The Hurricanes won both ends of a home and home when they last played the Aggies in 2007 and 2008. That was an entirely different era for Miami and Texas A&M.

Jimbo Fisher has turned Texas A&M into a recruiting powerhouse. Texas A&M beat out Miami for five-star defensive end Shemar Stewart. When the Aggies and Hurricanes play in September expect Stewart to be one of the storylines. The talk about if the U is back will be another storyline when Miami travels to College Station.

By the time the Hurricanes play at Clemson, we will know the answer for the 2022 season how far the Miami football program has come under Mario Cristobal as the head coach in his inaugural campaign. Miami will have a difficult November schedule. Miami will open November hosting Florida State at Hard Rock Stadium.

"3. MIAMI HURRICANESPotential games against ranked teams: 2 (Texas A&M, Clemson)“Two games. That’s what first-year coach Mario Cristobal and his home-run staff circled ahead of the 2022 season. Want to put Miami back on the map nationally? Win at Kyle Field in Week 3 against Texas A&M and you’ve done it.From there, the Hurricanes could be a betting favorite the next seven games before a showdown at Clemson. With several new coaches in the ACC Coastal and Miami being best-suited to win now with their leader, the Hurricanes have a shot to take advantage of a down division in Cristobal’s infancy. If you’re looking for a team to get to the New Year’s Six outside of the top 15, Miami is the pick. You could make the argument that Cristobal is in the best win-now situation among major Power Five hires this cycle given two factors — the Hurricanes’ weak division and a favorable schedule. There are teams more talented than Miami with first-year head coaches, but they don’t have the same contributing factors that may result in a banner campaign. Cristobal brings with him a 35-13 record over four-plus seasons at Oregon. He’ll have to rebuild Miami to an extent, as the Hurricanes went 7-5 in 2021 and won just 58% of their games under previous head coach Manny Diaz.”"

Florida State is rebuilding, but Miami will look to avenge a demoralizing loss in Tallahassee last season. The Hurricanes finish the 2022 season against defending ACC Champion Pittsburgh a week after playing at Clemson. Other than Clemson and Texas A&M, the toughest remaining games for Miami in 2022 will be at home.

In addition to hosting Florida State and Pittsburgh in November, Miami will host North Carolina on October 8. North Carolina has won three straight games against Miami. Miami won at Pittsburgh in 2022. The Hurricanes, Panthers and Tar Heels will likely be the favorites in the ACC entering the 2022 season.
