Four-star interior offensive lineman Knijeah Harris has named Alabama, Florida, Miami, Michigan State Oklahoma and Texas A&M in his top six ahead of his May 7 commitment. Florida leads with a 42.3 percent chance to sign Harris per On3, the Miami football program is second at 15.2 percent and Texas A&M is at 13 percent.

The dropoff after the Aggies is significant. On3 lists Central Florida who wasn’t named as a finalist with the fourth-best chance to sign Harris. Harris is the 296th player, 18th IOL and 56th in Florida in the 247 Sports Class of 2023 composite rankings. The On3 composite has Harris, 383rd, 28th and 73rd.

Head coach Mario Cristobal and offensive line coach Alex Mirabal continue placing a priority on improving the depth of talent for the Miami football program on the line of scrimmage. Miami signed three OL and one DL in the Class of 2022. The Hurricanes signed three 2022 DL and added three more transfer DL.

Harris will announce his commitment live on CBS Sports HQ on May 7 at a time to be announced. Miami received a commitment from South Florida OL Frankie Tinilau on Monday and previously four-star OL Antonio Tripp committed to the Hurricanes. A commitment from Harris would continue to build the OL.

Harris is originally from Port St. Lucie and currently plays for IMG Academy. Last week Harris took his official visit with Texas A&M. Harris has taken multiple unofficial visits. According to Andrew Ivins of 247 Sports, Harris has unofficial visits upcoming at Florida, Michigan State and Oklahoma, on June 3 depending on his commitment.

Harris told Ivins he has plans to get down to Miami again soon and mentioned Miami having two OL guys as coaches with Cristobal and Mirabal. At IMG Harris was a key player at left guard. The competition at IMG should prepare Harris for whichever school he eventually commits to on May 7.
