Miami football among favorites in top 7 for 4-star QB Jaden Rashada

The Miami football program is the top group of schools within the seven finalists for four-star quarterback Jaden Rashada. Miami is the second favorite behind Oregon according to the On3.Com Recruiting Prediction Machine. Brandon Huffman of 247 Sports speculated if Miami is in the top three for Rashada on their podcast.

Oregon is listed with a 38 percent chance to receive a commitment from Rashada and the Miami football program is at 26.2 percent. There is not currently a crystal ball for Rashada on 247 Sports. The other five schools Rashada named as finalists are California, Florida, LSU, Mississippi, Oregon and Texas A&M.

Miami is also recruiting Rashada’s brother Roman who is a three-star cornerback from Diablo Valley (Junior) College. Miami, Mississippi and Virginia Tech were named by Roman as finalists. That could put Miami and Mississippi in good position if Jaden and Roman want to play together in college.

Jaden Rashada is the 29th ranked player, fifth pro-style QB and fifth in California in the Class of 2023 according to the 247 composite rankings. Rashada is 58th, seventh and fifth per the On3 consensus rankings. A commitment date of June 18 was set by Rashada. Rashada is one of three top seven 2023 QBs who are uncommitted.

Miami is the frontrunner for Roman Rashada with a 79.3 percent chance to receive a commitment per On3. Rashada has a Name, Image and Likeness evaluation worth $454K per On3. Miami has been one of the leaders nationally in securing NIL deals for its athletes. That should help the Hurricanes in Rashada’s recruitment.

California and Miami are the only two of the seven finalists for Rashada located in major metropolitan areas. NIL opportunities will be more available in the Bay Area and South Florida than the other five finalists will Rashada. Rashada has over 21K followers on Instagram, TikTok and Twitter combined.
