The Miami baseball team will play North Carolina State on Wednesday at 7 PM and play Wake Forest at 3 PM on Friday in the ACC Tournament. Pool C play will begin on Tuesday when sixth-seeded Wake Forest plays 10th seed North Carolina State State at 3 PM in the second game of the ACC Tournament.
Miami finished the regular season 39-16 and 20-10 in the ACC. The Hurricanes’ 20 ACC wins led the conference this season. Virginia Tech finished 19-9 with two rainouts to earn the top seed for the ACC Tournament and won the Coastal. Louisville is the second seed in the ACC Tournament after winning the Atlantic Division.
The Cardinals finished 38-16-1 overall and 18-11-1 to win the Atlantic and earn the second seed in the ACC Tournament. Miami needs a strong showing to help its case with the NCAA Tournament committee to host a regional and potentially a super regional. Miami has the second-highest RPI in the ACC rated seventh.
Virginia Tech is 40-11 overall and is fourth in the RPI. The Miami baseball team earned their seventh rating in the RPI winning two out of three against Notre Dame this weekend. Wake Forest finished the regular season 39-16-1 overall and 15-14-1 in the ACC. North Carolina State is 33-20 and finished 14-15 in the ACC.

Miami did not play North Carolina State or Wake Forest this season. The Hurricanes finished 7-5 this season against Atlantic Division teams this season winning three of their four series. Wake Forest won all three games at North Carolina State this weekend. The Demon Deacons outscored the Wolfpack 19-4 in the three games.
Miami has not advanced out of pool play to the ACC Tournament semifinals since 2017. Wake Forest enters the ACC Tournament 11th in the RPI and is very much in play to host an NCAA Tournament regional. North Carolina State is 42nd in the RPI after being dominated by Wake Forest this weekend.
