In their “Commitment predictions for top 10 uncommitted linebackers” Rivals.Com projects four-star prospect Raul Aguirre to commit to the Miami football program. Rivals ranks Aguirre as the 73rd best player, sixth in Georgia and third-best LB. Miami currently has three-star LB Robby Washington committed for 2023.

Washington is one of five players committed to Miami for 2023. Aguirre is from Fayetteville, Georgia Whitewater. At 6’2, 215 pounds Aguirre provides excellent size at LB. Aguirre has the frame to fill out more in college. Expect LB to be a priority for Mario Cristobal and the Miami football program in the Class of 2023.

Miami needs to improve the play of its LBs. The Hurricanes signed Wesley Bissainthe in the Class of 2022. Bissainthe has a chance to start this fall. At the very least Bissainthe should be a part of the rotation in 2022. Miami will lose projected starter Waynmon Steed after the 2022 season. Steed will be a sixth-year senior in 2022.

Aguirre is not projected to commit to the Miami football program by other major recruiting media outlets. Aguirre does not have any crystal balls from 247 Sports. The On3 Prediction Machine lists Alabama as the favorite to receive a commitment from Aguirre at 22.2 percent. Miami is fourth at 10.5 percent.

"“Aguirre is another tough one to predict because his summer could change a lot of things. Alabama is there, but his workouts at many of these schools could determine where he ends up as Florida, Miami, Arkansas, Ohio State and others remain under serious consideration.Much more will be known about where the Fayetteville (Ga.) Whitewater standout will land after the summer, but he’s originally from South Florida and grew up liking the Hurricanes. That could be a trendy pick in a few weeks.Prediction: Miami”"

It appears that the recruitment for Aguirre is wide open. Florida is projected as a 19.4 percent chance to receive a commitment from Aguirre and Ohio State is third at 16.7 percent. While RIvals has Arkansas in the mix for Aguirre, he is not listed as potentially committed to the Razorbacks by On3.
