The Miami football program remains in the recruitment of five-star wide receiver Brandon Inniss after the American Heritage star named the Hurricanes one of his six finalists on Wednesday. Alabama, LSU, Ohio State, USC and Texas A&M are the other five finalists named by Innis via Twitter.
Between the 247 Sports and On3.Com rankings, Inniss averages as the 20th player, third WR and fifth in Florida in the Class of 2023. Inniss would be by far the highest-ranked commit to the 2023 Miami class. The leader for Inniss depends on the website. Ohio State leads for Inniss from On3.Com and USC from 247 Sports.
Inniss is projected to commit to Ohio State at 70.8 percent by On3 and 61.5 percent to USC by 247 Sports. The last three crystal balls from 247 Sports project Inniss to commit to Ohio State. With six finalists, one will get left out of an official visit. Inniss took an official visit to Alabama the weekend of June 3.
Inniss will take his official visit to Ohio State this weekend. The eight (unofficial) visits Inniss has taken to Miami are the most of any program. The visit to Ohio State this weekend will be the third for Inniss. Inniss previously visited Florida four times. Inniss spoke to On3 about where he stands with his Miami recruitment.

"“That’s my hometown team…Coach Cristobal is trying to build something special there and I’m interested and willing to invest into his ideas he got planned.”"
Per On3, Inniss has a visit scheduled to Florida for Thursday. Inniss told On3 he is looking forward to what LSU will promise him in person. Inniss praised the coaching staffs of each of the six finalists while stating about USC that “the coaches there are like no other.” The Miami football staff has tough competition recruiting Inniss.
Miami will give Inniss the benefit of offensive coordinator Josh Gattis also being the Hurricanes WR coach. Miami already has commitments from WRs, four-star Robby Washington and three-star Lamar Seymour in the Class of 2023. The expectation is Miami wants to sign three or four 2023 WRs.
