Top edge rushing prospect Jaxon Howard will announce his college commitment on July 1. Howard tweeted the information on Wednesday night. Howard played defensive end and tight end for Robbinsdale Cooper High School in New Hope, Minnesota. Howard ranks as the 96th player, 11th edge rusher and first in Minnesota.

On3 lists Howard as the 102nd player, seventh TE and best player in Minnesota. Rivals lists Howard as the fifth-best TE. Miami projects Howard as an edge rusher. The 247 Sports projection is that Howard is best suited for defense with the ideal frame at 6’4, 245 pounds. Howard will take his official visit to Miami June 24.
