The Miami football team will host a diverse and elite group of prospects for official visits this weekend. Miami will host a group of defensive recruits that includes three defensive linemen and a safety. The group of official visitors on defense this weekend is led by four-star edge rusher Jayden Wayne.

Georgia has one crystal ball from 247 Sports that was logged earlier this month. Oregon has a 50.3 percent chance for Wayne from On3.Com.
Four-star Kississimee Osceola defensive lineman John Walker is the second-highest ranked prospect visiting the Miami football program this weekend. Walker is ranked by 247 Sports as the 97th best prospect, 11th DL and 19th in Florida in the Class of 2023. Walker would be one of the highest-ranked commits to Miami.
Walker is trending to Florida via On3 and has one crystal ball tending to Ohio State. Columbus, Georgia four-star DL Darron Reed is trending to LSU and Ohio State via 247 Sports and On3. There is a vast difference in the rankings from 247 Sports and On3 for Reed. On3 ranks Reed, the 160th prospect, 22nd DL and 14th in Georgia.
The 247 Sports rankings have Reed 227th, 34th and 21st. Safety Jimez Hamilton is listed on the group of visitors this weekend by On3, but not 247 Sports. Miami has gathered an elite group of prospects during the June evaluation period. Expect Miami to begin receiving more commitments in the next few weeks after receiving one from rising three-star tight end Jackson Carver this week. Defensive lineman Jaxon Howard and quarterback Jaden Rashada are prospects to watch.
Rashada will announce his commitment on June 26 and Howard on July 1. Miami is more of a longshot for Rashada at this point. Rashada has not taken an official visit to Miami. There is potential for a Rashada official visit before June 26. The recruitment for Howard is more wide open without a clear favorite.
