Miami football huge weekend of offensive visitors including five-star OT
The Miami football program has a huge weekend of 12 official visitors including three five-star prospects. Seven four-star prospects and two three-stars will be in Coral Gables this weekend beginning Thursday. Four-star interior offensive lineman Madden Sanker is the first visitor of the weekend beginning on Thursday.
Miami will host six offensive prospects and six defensive prospects. Sanker is one of five OL who will be in Coral Gables this weekend. Samson Okunlola from Thayer Academy in Braintree, Massachusetts is the one five-star visitor for Miami on offense this weekend. Okunlola is the 20th-ranked player and third OT in the Class of 2023.
Sanker is the 108th player, fourth IOL and seventh in Georgia for 2023. Louisville received a pair of crystal balls from 247 Sports for Sanker this week. The recruitment for Okunlola is wide open. Michigan State leads for Okunlola with a 25.6 percent chance for a commitment per the On3.Com prediction machine.
Alabama is second for a commitment for Okunlola at 16.9 percent and the Miami football program third at 14.5. Every other program recruiting Okunlola are listed with below a five percent chance for a commitment from him. Okunlola’s brother Samuel signed with Miami ACC rival Pittsburgh as an edge rusher in the Class of 2022.
Four-star OT Monroe Freeling has exceptional size at 6-7.5, 285 pounds. Freeling has taken official visits to Florida and Notre Dame in June. No crystal balls are logged for Freeling. Clemson and Notre Dame are the leaders per On3 for the Mount Pleasant, South Carolina prospect. Freeling is the 62 ranked player and eighth OT.
Four-star Miami Central wide receiver Nathaniel Joseph is one of the most intriguing prospects who will visit Coral Gables this weekend. Joseph decommited from Clemson last week. Andrew Ivins of 247 Sports logged a crystal ball for Joseph the day he decommitted from Clemson. Joseph visited Louisville last weekend.
Louisville and Texas A&M are expected to be the biggest competition for Miami to receive a commitment from Joseph. Joseph had 33 receptions for 632 yards and five touchdowns and added 232 yards in kick returns for Miami Central last season. Joseph is the 106th ranked player, 16th WR and 22nd in Florida for 2023.
Three-star Johnathan Cline is the 847th player, 60th IOL and 82nd in Georgia in 2023. The Miami football program is competing with Central Florida, East Carolina and Memphis for Cline. Cline already visited East Carolina, Memphis and UCF. UCF is the projected leader to receive a commitment from Cline with Miami not far behind.
Three-star OT Tommy Kinsler is a massive 6’6, 330 pounds. Florida who received an official visit earlier this month the prohibitive consensus favorite to receive a commitment from Kinsler. Kinsler also visited Rutgers in June. Kinsler primarily played left guard last season on an OL that had three Power Five signees.
