Three-star Miami Central wide receiver Lamar Seymore who has been committed to the Miami football program for over two years de-committed in a tweet he posted on Thursday morning. The 2023 Miami recruiting class drops from 33rd to 41st with the de-commitment from Seymore.

Seymore is the brother of Miami offensive lineman Laurance. Seymore has taken visits to Central Florida and Pittsburgh and has received offers from eight other Power Five programs. SEC programs Auburn and Georgia are among the offers that Seymore has received. Seymore is the second de-commit from Miami for 2023.

Three-star WR Andy Jean de-committed from Miami in March. Jean attended a Miami camp last week and is still considering the Hurricanes. According to On3.Com, Seymore has taken three visits to Miami since Mario Cristobal was hired in December. Seymore will likely still consider Miami while opening up his recruitment.

The Miami football program has several other options at WR and is recruiting players more highly ranked than Seymore. Five-star WR Jalen Brown is the most notable of the WRs considering Miami for 2023. Miami is hosting four-star WR Nathaniel Joseph this weekend. Joseph was previously committed to Clemson.

Brown is going to be a competitive recruitment. Georgia, LSU and Miami are the prohibitive favorites for a commitment from Brown. Miami is the significant favorite for Joseph with On3.Com projecting the Hurricanes with a 65.8 percent chance for his commitment, Joseph is projected as a slot receiver in college.

Miami also hosted four-star WR Raymond Cottrell from Milton, Florida. According to the 247 Sports database no other WRs are strongly considering Miami. The current Miami WR corps is young. All of the scholarship WRs on the Miami roster have eligibility remaining beyond the 2022 season.

Four-star WR Hykeem Williams who was trending to Miami earlier in the 2023 cycle but is linked to other programs now could be a prospect to watch.
