Miami football de-commit Andy Jean would love to catch passes from Jaden Rashada
Gaby Urrutia of Inside the U tweeted late on Sunday afternoon that former 2023 Miami football commit, four-star wide receiver Andy Jean texted him saying he would love to catch passes from quarterback Jaden Rashada. Jean also stated that he believes Rashada is the best QB in the 2023 class and he would love to play with him.
Jean projects that both he and Rashada would both be drafted in the first round for sure. Jean de-committed from Miami in March. No crystal balls have been logged by 247 Sports for Jean. On3.Com has Florida as the favorite for Jean at 37.9 percent, Texas A&M at 22.3 percent and Miami at 14.5 percent.
Jean took official visits to Florida and Texas A&M in June. Rashada took his official visit with the Miami football program this week before committing on Sunday afternoon. Three-star QB Emory Williams committed to Miami on Monday. Four-star athlete Robby Washington is the only projected WR committed to Miami for 2023.
Rashada surpassed Washington as the highest-rated 2023 Miami football commit. Rashada is the 45th-ranked player, seventh-ranked QB and fifth-best prospect in California in the 2023 cycle. The Miami football program now has eight commits for 2023 with the addition of Rashada and the 33rd-ranked class for 2023.
Rashada is the highest-rated Miami QB commit since Kyle Wright in 2023. Current Miami QB Jake Garcia was the highest-rated Miami QB signee since Wright when he signed in 2021. The future of the Miami QB room is extremely bright even if Miami loses returning starter Tyler Van Dyke as is expected after the 2022 season.
Rashada has been openly recruiting several uncommitted prospects on his Twitter account on Sunday night since committing earlier in the day. Offensive tackles Payton Kirkland and Francis Mauigoa and WR Nathaniel Joseph were all called out by Rashada on Twitter. Miami is building momentum toward an elite 2023 Class.
