The commitment from 2023 four-star wide receiver Nathaniel Joseph moves the Miami football program into the top 25 classes. Miami entered Tuesday with the 36th ranked 2023 recruiting class. Prior to the commitment from four-star quarterback Jaden Rashada on Sunday, Miami had the 44th-ranked class.

Joseph is the 105th ranked player, 16th WR and 22nd in Florida in the Class of 2023. Rashada is the only 2023 Miami commit ranked higher than Joseph. Joseph is the eighth of the nine 2023 Miami commits on offense. Three-star linebacker Bobby Washington is the only 2023 Miami commit on defense.

Joseph and Reshada are key commits for Miami who can lead to more prospects pledging to the 2023 Miami recruiting class. Four-star tight end Riley Williams is expected to announce a commitment to Miami on Friday. Joseph and Williams would improve Miami to the 17th ranked class nationally.

Joseph committed to Miami after de-committing from Clemson earlier this month. The new Miami football staff made a difference in Joseph reconsidering his Clemson commitment. Miami offensive coordinator Josh Gattis who is also the Hurricanesโ€™ WR coach led the recruitment of Joseph.

Miami is building a potentially elite offensive class. Joseph, Rashada and Washington are the three blue-chip commits in the 2023 class. More are expected. Williams would be a fourth. Five-star WR Jalen Brown could eventually commit to Miami. Gattis won the Broyles Award as the top college football assistant in 2021.

Miami is building towards signing a top 15 class. The Hurricanes finished with the 16th best class in 2022 per the 247 Sports composite rankings. Mario Cristobal has quickly paid off on his hiring to upgrade the Miami roster and improve recruiting. Joseph should be one of the foundational players in the 2023 Miami class.
