Recent Miami Hurricanes quarterback commits Jaden Rashada and Emory Williams will participate in the Elite 11 Camp this weekend in Los Angeles. In previewing the Elite 11, Steve Wiltfong of 247 Sports praised Rashada as one of the headliners at Elite 11 and Williams as a natural thrower. Jacurri Brown is mentioned as being rawer.

Williams has the best high career completion percentage of the three at 63.7 percent. Rashada has completed 57.1 percent of his career pass attempts and Brown was at 54 percent during his four-year high school career. Brown provides Miami with a true dual-threat QB. Brown ran for 4,205 yards and 54 TDs in high school.

Miami signed Brown as their sole QB in the Class of 2022. Rashada and Williams would be the first pair of QBs to sign with Miami in the same class since Brad Kaaya and Malik Rosier in 2014. Brown and Reshada are likely to compete with 2021 Miami signee Jake Garcia to be the Hurricanes’ starting QB.

Tyler Van Dyke is expected to leave for the 2023 NFL Draft with a productive 2022 season. Miami was able to secure an official visit from Rashada less than a week before he announced his commitment to the Hurricanes on Sunday. Wiltfong discussed Rashada and Williams as part of his Elite 11 preview for 247 Sports.

"“New Miami commit Jaden Rashada is one of the headliners of this camp as well, ranked No. 29 nationally…Mario Cristobal will be keeping tabs…Miami has two quarterback commits competing. Rashada is the heralded name…He’s been wowing us in these settings for years now, just a natural thrower of the football who passed for 2,220 yards and 27 touchdowns as a junior. Milton (Fla.) High quarterback Emory Williams threw for the Hurricanes staff several times this offseason and Cristobal and Josh Gattis and company couldn’t pass on him as well. The nearly 6-foot-5 Williams was good for 2,168 yards and 16 touchdowns as a junior and his tape flashes intriguing upside as well. After taking a very raw passer in the 2022 cycle in Jacurri Brown, it was key for Cristobal to land two talented passers in 2023 and they’ve done that.”"

The Miami Hurricanes QB corps is the best it has been in many years. The current and previous Miami coaching staffs deserve praise for their recruiting of the Hurricanes’ signal-callers. Rashada is the highest-rated QB Miami has signed since Kyle Wright in 2003. Garcia previously held that distinction.

Rashada and Williams will be two of the 20 QBs participating in Elite 11. Alabama commit Eli Holstein, Christopher Vizzina of Clemson and Nico Iamaleava who is committed to Tennessee are among the other headliners with Rashada. The next generation of Miami Hurricanes QB talent will be on full display at the Elite 11.
