The Miami football program has a big weekend of potential commitments that begins on Friday. Four-star edge rusher Collins Acheampong and five-star wide receiver Jalen Brown are announcing their commitments on Friday. Acheampong will make his announcement at 3 PM and Brown at 6 PM ET.

Acheampong will make his announcement via social media. Brown is announcing on his Instagram page jalen5brown. Acheampong is trending to Michigan and Brown to LSU. Five-star edge rusher Jayden Wayne is announcing his commitment on Saturday at 4 PM ET on CBS Sports HQ.

Wayne is trending to Miami. A commitment from Wayne would provide Miami with its second five-star commit to the 2023 Class. Miami received a commitment from five-star offensive tackle Francis Mauigoa on Monday. This would be the second time in the last three recruiting classes Miami signs two five-star prospects.

Miami signed defensive tackle Leonard Taylor and safety James Williams as five-star recruits in the Class of 2021. The Hurricanes have not had three five-star signees in the same class since 2008. A commitment from Wayne would move the 2023 Miami class into the top five nationally without other changes.

The Miami football program currently has the 10th-ranked 2023 recruiting class. LSU would move into the top 10 and temporarily pass Miami with a commitment from Brown prior to the expected pledge from Wayne to the Hurricanes. Wayne projects as the sixth blue chip commit to the 2023 Miami recruiting class in less than two weeks.

Four-star quarterback Jaden Rashada began the Miami run on June 26 with his commitment to the Hurricanes. Mauigoa was the most recent Miami football commit. Miami currently has 12 players committed for 2023. The Hurricanes will continue to add to its 2023 recruiting class throughout the month of July.

Four-star safety Jayden Bonsu is expected to commit to Miami when he announces his college destination on July 20. Four-star Orlando prospects, linebacker Malik Bryant and OT Payton Kirkland are strongly considering Miami and will announce their commitments on July 23.

Four-star defensive lineman John Walker announced a top five of Central Florida, Florida, Miami, Michigan and Ohio State on July 1. Walker is projected to commit to Ohio State by 247 Sports and Florida by On3 and Rivals. Miami does not have a 2023 DL commit. Walker could potentially be the first 2023 Miami defensive tackle commit.
