Complete Miami football staff effort for seventh ranked 2023 class
The entire Miami football staff has contributed to currently having the seventh-ranked 2023 class. Offensive line coach Alex Mirabal who is 24th nationally is the highest-rated recruiter on the Miami staff with 2023 commitments. Mirabal is credited with three 2023 Miami commits on the offensive line.
Five-star OL prospects Francis Mauigoa and three-stars Frankie Tinilau and Antonio Tripp have all committed to Miami after Mirabal was their primary recruiter per 247 Sports. Mirabal was also credited with OL Jonathan Denis and Logan Sagapolu committing to Oregon before transferring to Miami during the 2022 offseason.
Denis prepped at South Dade High School in Homestead. Mirabal is the leading recruiter on what could be an elite Miami recruiting class on the OL. Miami is trending for five-star OL Samson Okunlola, four-star Olaus Alinen and three-star Tommy Kinsler. That adds to Mauigoa, Tinilau and Tripp already committing to Miami.
Tight ends coach Stephen Field who is the 28th ranked recruiter nationally in the 2023 class is second on the Miami staff. Field is entering his fourth season with the Hurricanes and is the only holdover from the previous Miami football staff. Miami has commitments from three TEs for 2023 with Field being their primary recruiter.

Four-star TE Riley Williams and three-stars Jackson Carver and Reid Mikeska are all committed to the 2023 Miami recruiting class. Field has been credited with 19 Miami signees in the four classes he has been involved with since being hired in 2019. Offensive coordinator Josh Gattis is the 44th-ranked recruiter nationally.
Gattis is the only other coach on the Miami staff ranked in the top 50 recruiters nationally. Mario Cristobal has hired a staff of great recruiters. Miami does not have to rely on one elite recruiter to acquire talent. Cristobal has proven throughout his career to have an exceptional ability to close with recruits.

In four seasons as the head coach at Oregon, Cristobal signed a class that averaged 10.5 nationally. Cristobal was the best recruiter in the country in 2015 as the assistant head coach, OL coach and recruiting coordinator at Alabama. Expect Miami to sign elite classes with Cristobal as the head coach.
