How to watch Miami Hurricanes football in 2022
At long last, college football is nearly back. Here’s how to watch Miami Hurricanes football throughout the 2022 season.
It’s all about The U! Football is almost back – which means we finally have our Saturday rituals back. Here’s how to watch Miami Hurricanes football in 2022.
Miami Hurricanes 2022 Outlook
For the third time in the last six years the Miami Hurricanes will have a new head coach calling the shots. That’s the not-so-great news. The good news is that Mario Cristobal brings with him a résumé that most coaches would trade their own for.
The even-better news is the return of quarterback Tyler Van Dyke. In 2021 Van Dyke’s expected role was that of clipboard holder behind D’Eriq King. Instead, King unfortunately injured his shoulder in week one and Van Dyke competed with Jake Garcia for the starting job.
By week three, the job belonged to Van Dyke and he didn’t look back.
Van Dyke completed 62 percent of his passes for 2,931 yards and 25 touchdowns, leading the Hurricanes to seven wins.
Unfortunately for Van Dyke, he’s losing his top two pass catchers from a season ago in Charleston Rambo and Mike Harley. Who steps up to replace them? Time will tell – but expect Miami to lean on a nasty offensive line and electric running back Jaylan Knighton.
Miami Football Schedule 2022
Only three games are currently locked into a time slot and network. Miami will open the season on Saturday, September 3 against Bethune-Cookman. That game will kick off at 3:30PM ET on the ACC Network. Next week, Miami hosts Southern Miss. Again on the ACC Network, the game kicks off at 12PM ET. Week three brings one of the biggest games of the season – an away game against Texas A&M. The Canes and Aggies will clash at 9PM ET on Saturday, September 17 on ESPN.
Overall, Miami gets five home games and a bye week through the first eight weeks of the season. The Hurricanes will host rival Florida State on November 5 and travel to Clemson on November 19 before finishing the season at home against Pitt.
